Kayla's Corner
Hi everyone! Welcome back & I hope you all have been doing well! I'm still stuffed from Thanksgiving but am gradually getting ready for Christmas. Hanging lights & decorating the tree whilst indulging on some eggnog (hehe) & enjoying some good old-fashioned holiday music! It's my favorite time of the year!
The cold, however, I'm not too particularly fond of but seeing some snow would be totally worth the chill! Keep bundled up because I'm predicting snow this year!
Though it's a bit rainy & dreary out there today, there are still some fun & festive events going on!
The Gold Dust band will be playing at the Elks Christmas party tonight at 6PM at the Elks Lodge (165 Crowell Rd). These guys are so good & this event acts as a fundraiser for the Elks, a great civic organization!
Also, tonight is the return of Adrenaline to everyone's favorite spot, Five O'Clock Sports Bar & Grill. By all accounts this is a rocking band, and everyone knows how much I love the 5 (and their wings!). Check it out!
You know what's great for a rainy day? Going to the movies! And there are some great ones out right now! AMC 16 Conyers has a ton as usual, including two highly anticipated animated features - "Dr. Seuss' The Grinch" & "Ralph Breaks the Internet." Clink on the link to see more offerings & showtimes.
And finally, we have such a wonderful thing in our community with The Arts Association of Newton! Today & tomorrow there will be three performances of the "The Nutcracker" by Covington Regional Ballet. And then on Monday it will be "Sounds of the Holidays featuring the Newton County Community Band!
Everybody enjoy yourselves & maybe, just maybe, we'll see some snow tomorrow! See you guys soon!
